15-18 year olds from across East London joined an array of inspiring health professionals at Mulberry UTC’s Action for Health Conference on Saturday.
Speakers included:
Shafi Ahmed, surgeon and pioneer of virtual reality to support surgical training across the globe
Emma Rigby, Chief Executive of the Association for Young People’s Health
Indra Joshi, from HealthTech Women UK, ex-A&E doctor now specialising in digital health
Delegates also joined discussion groups, put questions to an Expert Panel, gathered careers information and took part in workshops such as:
- Infection control
- Moving and handling
- Tackling the takeaways
- Assessing physiological measurements
- Looking after yourself
Delegates and health contributors alike gained significantly from their interactions.
